The Yourmap program enables individuals, organizations and communities to explore and share their location's information with others. Yourmap makes it simple to map, view, and share information by using advanced G.I.S. technology behind the scenes.   The Viewer program is free, and may be distributed to others along with your information.  Click here to see Help.

The information that can be mapped and viewed is virtually unlimited.  It can be any Microsoft Windows file (such as photo JPGs, PDFs, Office Documents, etc.), or any Internet Web site link.  Exploring Yourmap is easy with links to Web sites (called a Context menu) based on location information, such as Zip Code, Placename, or Geographic Coordinates (like GPS longitude/latitude.) Context Menus  and Links are included and simple to set up yourself.  Click for more sample screens.

Another cool feature is the ability to "geocode" , "geo-tag" or "GPS-tag" your digital photos and favorite Web sites.  Dropping a JPG file on the Map will add the geographic location and other related information to the JPG file's EXIF fields.  You can easily track, view and share the location of your digital photos and other pictures without programming or database skills.  Favorite Web sites dropped on the Map will capture the geographic location, and save the data for import to Yourmap or other programs that can read Text or ESRI Shape(GIS) files.

The small squares on this sample Yourmap of California's Mount Whitney to Death Valley are photo locations.  By clicking on the square, you can either view the photo or bring up a Context menu of Web links for that spot.
